  • Talking openly about feelings after birth
  • Managing anxiety and intrusive worries
  • Rest, routine and sharing the load at home
  • Communication with your spouse and family
  • Building confidence as a mother

When to seek help for postpartum depression

Signs it may be time to talk to someone

  • Exhaustion beyond normal newborn tiredness
  • Guilt or feeling like a bad mother

Postpartum depression can need medical treatment. Please also speak to your gynaecologist or a psychiatrist. Ayesha will refer you where needed and can offer counselling alongside.
